A list of parents/helpers must be included on the training roster each week. You will need to make sure to check 'Yes' on the sign up form when registering your runner for that week's session. If you have multiple children participating, you only need to answer 'Yes' to one of the volunteer questions. High school students are also welcome to help.

02

Arrival time for volunteering at a training session is between 2:45-3:00 at the elementary school. The security guard will check you in and then you will proceed to the gym. Children will be sitting on the left side of the gym. We ask volunteers to help supervise them prior to the training session. They should remain seated while other students are being dismissed.

03

After the final dismissal of students being picked up or taking buses is complete, we will divide the students into groups according to grade. Colored tags and snacks are handed out at this time.

04

Last year we did find it helpful to plan out where volunteers would be ahead of time so you had an idea of where your station would be and the name of the activity. For this reason, if you find you are unable to make a session after commiting to a training event, be sure to text Nikki (724) 216 4619 so that we can make alternate plans.

05

Dismissal can be a hectic time. We ask volunteers to remain in the gym to ensure children are not wandering into the hallways. It is also helpful to direct parents toward the exit doors and that runners have all of their belongings with them.

06

Lastly, it is a great experience cheering the runners while helping them to learn sportsmanship
